WWII German Kriegsmarine U Boat Bulkhead Clock Original U-Boot Uhr
The wartime Reich symbol has been almost removed by the previous Russian owner after the war, which was understandable in the circumstances. I have not attempted to restore the wartime symbol, because the'M' (Kriegsmarine) and'N' (Nord) make the clock clear what it is. The clock mechanism had been completely overhauled and is in excellent like-new condition, keeping excellent time for 8 days as was required by U-Boat crews in action.
The clock has not been polished since I bought it and the brass has somewhat tarnished since. The very polished photos are dated from 2011, when I first decided to photograph it. You can polish it if you wish, but I decided to let it revert to a more natural condition on the outside. This is your opportunity to own an artefact that was actually on a U-Boat in WWII.
