This is a massive World War II German Kriegsmarine gray leather overcoat that is in excellent condition. It is constructed of heavy grade premium gray leather, with open lapels, and is double breasted. The coat features two hip pockets with square flaps and two slash pockets above these. There is a large brass sewn-on Kriegsmarine button under each collar flap and two of the three large Kriegsmarine sewn-on buttons down the left breast with one missing. All three buttons on the right breast are missing. The interior of the body is lined with light brown velvet and the sleeves lined with OD green polished cotton. There is an interior pocket at the left breast. Above this pocket is an illegible Manufacture's ink stamp with the bottom line that appears to be'Kriegsmarine'. Directly below this is'M 1942/3' and the RBN number'RBNo809310635/38'. The ink stamped size'52'. There is a small hand sewn tag in the collar with the owner's name that reads'H. The leather remains pliable, and all seams are closed and intact. This is a massive coat that weighs approximately 20lbs. It remains a very attractive example of a Kriegsmarine Officer's overcoat and except for the missing buttons it is excellent and undamaged.
