WWII German 7x50 Zeiss BLC Kriegsmarine U-Boat Binoculars WW2 Zeiss BLC Fernglas
A very nice pair of the highly sought after Kriegsmarine 7x50 U-boat binoculars, clearly marked with the'blc' code to indicate production by Carl Zeiss Jena. At some stage, this pair has received an overpaint in the typical shipboard grey colour shade - likely during service given the apparent age and patination throughout. The fixed-focus and coated lens optics on this pair are truly stunning, producing a crystal clear image as to be expected from Zeiss optical instruments built to this standard. Indeed, in our opinion they would rate as being 10/10!
As such, not only is this example a great collectible piece of U-boat history, but also one that remains fully functional and could easily rival any modern equivalent on the market today. They also come with the leather case (of British origin) with which they were found, owing to the fact that this pair almost certainly originate as a British RN veteran bring-back item like so many.
