A superb example of an original. Made of transparent blue glass.

The GM 43 MK-II was a'tricky' device used. By the Germans Forces against the Allies after the.

6th June 1944 D-Day invasion of the Normandy coast-line. In order to make such devices less detectable.

The entire body was made from glass. Which also saved precious metal stocks for other uses. Measuring 4.5" across and 0.5" deep. And in a superb mint, undamaged condition.

This one of a small batch of 7 glass pressure plates. Soissons near Compiegne in France. A cracking piece of German defensive kit.

From the post-D Day 1944 battlefields of Normandy.
