WW2 GERMAN NAVY U-BOAT 7x50 BEH CODED 1943 BINOCULARS & CASE ORIG KRIEGSMARINE

Nice set of original WW2 German Navy submarine armored binoculars. This example was wartime-manufactured by ERNST LEITZ, one of the main contractors of combat optics for the Wehrmacht during WWII. They were built in 7x50 power, and accordingly coded " BEH " (Ernst Leitz maker), as well as serial-numbered reflecting 1943 manufacture. They are equipped with PORRO II prisms, and its factory rubber armor on the optics' center case, as well as on the eyepiece surrounds.

They are removable if desired. Excellent build quality, with NO dents, corrosion or damage.

They still have their original elongated presstoff case, clearly marked E/over M as it was normally done on all original Kriegsmarine personal equipment. Unfortunately the leather hinge strap is separated from the case, no doubt the result of exposure to the elements. It is nevertheless also marked " BEH " and wartime-dated 1943 as pictured. Surprisingly, the original neckstrap for the binoculars is still in very good condition. There is also a folded Reichsmark bill that was tucked in the bottom of the case, neatly folded.
