(redolent of the early war years). The front edge of the top flap.Bears a heavily embossed letter. Whilst under the front Y-strap ring is the letter'L. (Bautzen was a small mediaeval town in Saxony, Eastern Germany). Found, empty, on a farm at Amfreville near Pegasus Bridge.
