Rare 1944 Kriegsmarine U-Boat "Fat" Commander 8x60 Binoculars,'blc' Carl Zeiss, Jena. An excellent pair of the elusive and highly collectable Carl Zeiss Kriegsmarine binoculars, circa 1944. The right receiver cap is marked "8 x 60" and has the serial number "2111161" & code "blc" for Carl Zeiss, Jena ; 98% of the original tan paintwork is preserved, and the screw-in dry cartridges are included. The black Bakelite eyepiece protector is correctly marked "Benutzer" and the elastic band is completely undamaged. Most important the optics are clear and. With the slightest of haze.
