This was issued to U-Boat crews for torpedo timing! Produced for the German Navy, these stop watches were used for the measurement of torpedo running times and depth charge detonation. Made of a steel case, this German-made Junghans Stop Watch is in EXCELLENT functioning condition. Though the crystal shows some light scratches, the dial and hands are in near MINT condition, with NO damage or corrosion!
Note that because I use a camera flash, the scratches show up more pronounced than they actually are. The manufacture name is clearly marked on the face, and was manufactured between 1939 and 1945. Being in used condition, the case does show some signs of wear (scratches, marks, patina), but it is in otherwise VERY NICE condition for its age. Normally, this would have had the.
"KM" Property Marking (or Adler) on the dial, however, it appears to have been removed. 100% FUNCTIONAL, however as the. Movement has not been serviced in 30 years, I would suggest getting it cleaned for daily use. A VERY nice and original item for any collection, or display!
