WW2 German Kriegsmarine Nautische Aufgabensammlung NAVAL NAVIGATION MANUAL

This is a period naval instructional book used for advanced navigation training and problem solving. These originate from a veteran estate, however I do not have any further info. These manuals were used by German naval personnel for instruction in navigation theory and practice, including terrestrial and astronomical navigation, compass theory, radio direction finding, and related seamanship disciplines. Such books formed part of the technical training material issued to Kriegsmarine officers and specialists during the war.

Made of paper, the VERY LARGE bound volume is a VERY NICE complete example! Approximately 512 pages and 100% COMPLETE, the title translates to Nautical Problem Collection. It contains extensive technical text, mathematical instruction, and numerous diagrams illustrating navigation instruments, compasses, steering systems, and theoretical concepts. Included with the book are multiple loose and fold-out inserts housed in the rear sleeve, including color plates showing national flags, wind charts, current charts, and additional navigational reference material. The book also includes three original period photographs from the veteran estate showing German naval service imagery.
