WW2 German Kriegsmarine 8x60 Zeiss U-BOAT COMMANDER BINOCULARS SUPERB

Used on U-boats and other surface vessels, these were captured at the end of the war. The German Army and Navy used a wide variety of optical equipment, including a 6x30 (6 power magnification with 30mm objective lens), 7x50, 8x30, 8x60 10x50 and others, being the standard issued optics used by all branches of service.

This specific binocular was used by the U-Boat commander. Made of solid brass and steel, by " blc ". These 8x60 power binoculars are in EXCELLENT used condition! Untouched since the war, the optics are AMAZINGLY CLEAR, and in PERFECT alignment with NO spotting.

The image is only slightly foggy as you can see in the photo (easy to rectify if one wished). NO chips to the prisms!

The objective lenses have a tiny snowflake near the edge, but it is not noticeable and does not affect the viewing. The right side is body marked 8x60, the 3-digit code of " blc ", the serial number, " 2111486 ". Though not marked as such, the optics are fully coated on both the ocular and objective lenses.

Focus adjustments would 100% correctly. The original bakelite rain shield is also still present, as well as the original eye cups (these are always missing)!

Light wear due to the age, but nothing that detracts! Note that though some of the listing images shows this optic are being yellow/tan in color, the original finish is that of the main images. An AMAZING unmolested example, it would make a PERFECT addition to any collection or display!
