WW2 GERMAN KRIEGSMARINE 7x50 Gas Mask Flak Binoculars RARE US Vet Details

Unmolested since 1944 these beautifully marked Kriegsmarine 7x50 Coastal Flak Gas Mask Binoculars appear to have been collected by a Sgt. Danko or Dish in Brest, France in 1944. Clearly concerned about losing his booty he has scratched his details on all four plates. Overall condition is very good. The covering on these early war glasses is prone to cracking and subsequent loss but certainly not the case here. The optics are without damage but are now a little dirty although quite useable as they are. The reticule is still in place in the right ocular.

Both the neck strap and the button flap are original and in very good condition. All markings are of course absolutely original and date the glasses to a batch of 1000 produced in March 1940.
