This is an VERY UNCOMMON RARE variant, having BOTH standard acceptance marks in ADDITION to the M. Only 100 of these were made between 1938 and 1941, making them EXTREMELY RARE! The German Army and Navy used a wide variety of optical equipment, including a 6x30 (6 power magnification with 30mm objective lens), 7x50, 8x30, 10x50 and others, being the standard issued optics used by all branches of service. Though this type was the standard, specialized personnel required stinger optics, and were issues to personnel on a limited basis. Made of aluminum, brass, and steel by.

These 7x50 power binoculars are in EXCELLENT used condition! The lens bodies retain about 85% of their rough textured black finish (some sections missing), and the aluminum end piece fittings are 100% intact! Features the RARE Gas Mask Eye Piece fittings!

Though missing the rubber sockets, replacements can be found quite easily. These can be moved back approx. 10mm, to allow the wearer to use the binoculars with or without the mask. The focus adjustments still function correctly on both eye pieces (though one is a bit loose than the other) and the optics in PERFECT alignment! Features some slight haze and fine dust particles, but nothing that detracts/ The only downfall is that the left side ocular is cracked (see photos).

The right side is body marked with a prominent Kriegsmarine Adler, and the impressed designation. The number " 818 " was individual district/zone where these were assigned to u. Nfortunately, to date it has not been possible to assign a geographical location to these codes.

The left side is marked with a SECOND and prominent Kriegsmarine Adler, the impressed designation. The left side is marked with a prominent Kriegsmarine Adler, the impressed designation.

Indicating they were made in 1940, as well as a large. , indicating that the optics are coated. In 25 years of collecting, and I have NEVER seen a Kriegsmarine Binocular with markings on BOTH plates, making these EXTREMELY RARE! A PERFECT addition to any collection or display!
