WW2 German Kriegsmarine 7x50 CARL ZEISS FLAK ARTILLERY BINOCULARS GAS MASK

Used by Navy FlaK Search Light and Sound Locator units, these were brought back by British Royal Navy veteran at the end of the war. The German Army and Navy used a wide variety of optical equipment, including a 6x30 (6 power magnification with 30mm objective lens), 7x50, 8x30, 10x50 and others, being the standard issued optics used by all branches of service.

Though this type was the standard, specialized personnel required stinger optics, and were issues to personnel on a limited basis. Made of aluminum, brass, and steel by. These 7x50 power binoculars are in EXCELLENT used condition! The lens bodies retain about 95% of their rough textured black finish, and the aluminum end piece fittings are 100% intact with the RARE Kriegsmarine Eye Piece fittings, as well as rubber Gas Mask type eye sockets! These can be moved back approx.

10mm, to allow the wearer to use the binoculars with or without the mask. The original rubber sockets were heavily deteriorated, so the ones currently installed are replacements. The focus adjustments still function PERFECTLY on both eye pieces (though one is a bit loose than the other) and the optics VISUALLY STUNNING with NO spotting! The right side is body marked.

The left side is marked with a prominent Kriegsmarine Adler, the impressed designation. " (indicating they were made in 1940), as well as a large ". , indicating that the optics are coated. This was specifically issued to Searchlight and Sound Locator units. Also comes with the original strap, but it is a period replacement (probably British).

This originally had a repair Slight marks, dents, and paint loss throughout. A PERFECT addition to any collection or display!
