Up for sale is this handsome Festa (Alpina) Kriegsmarine or military style pocket watch from the early 1940's. Depending on which source you prefer you will find that this watch may hold military service within the Kriegsmarine during the last part of WW2. Civilian watches were "drafted" so to speak into service as things got chaotic for the German military to find timepieces for their use. Not all timepieces issued were given markings or an organized system of assignment.

It is unknown whether this watch was used by the German military or not. This watch dial is stylized after the classic Alpina or Cortebert KM klass III timepieces commonly seen.

The style hands is also unique. It is a large timepiece, larger than the Cortebert coming in at around 53mm! And the lume still glows under black light. The watch has the classic "economy" four piece case showing wear and plate loss on the center frame also commonly seen with klass III KM pocket watches. The watch runs wonderfully and keeps excellent time being crown set and wind. This Festa dates before the Dugena name change that assumed Festa later on. Please see all photos which speak far better than I can regarding its condition.

Please look at other military watches I may have for sale. Please contact me with any questions you may have. I will hope to answer the best I can.
