VERY RARE BIG STOP WATCH On the back of the stop watch inscription German submarine U-185 was a Type IXC/40 U-boat of Germany's Kriegsmarine built for service during World War II. Laid down on 1 July 1941 by DeSchiMAG AG Weser of Bremen as yard number 1025, she was launched on 2 March 1942 and commissioned on 13 June. Under the command of Kapitänleutnant August Maus, she had some success against Allied aircraft in World War II and front of the stop watch depicted Two Sea Dragon on Shield - emblem German submarine U-185 and depicted KM - Kriegsmarne in circle and back inside stop watch it is written 4. 4th U-boat Flotilla German 4. Unterseebootsflottille in who served German submarine U-185, marking''M'' - Kriegsmarine, year - 1942 and Cross. Stop Watch is in practically good state with slight tear & wear.

Unterseebootsflottille was formed in May 1941 in Stettin under the command of Kapitänleutnant Werner Jacobsen. Nearly 300 boats received their basic training here. It was disbanded in May 1945.
