Offered for sale is a very rare German WWII Kriegsmarine Officer's Sword (Marineoffiziersdolch) featuring an Damascus steel blade and its scabbard. This example represents the highest quality of Solingen craftsmanship, made for senior naval officers of the German Kriegsmarine during the Second World War. Type: German WWII Kriegsmarine Officer's Sword. Blade: True Damascus (Damast) steel. Hilt: Traditional gilt brass lion-head pommel with folding guard with fouled anchor emblem.

Grip: Ivory, bound with gilt twisted wire. Scabbard: leather sheath in good condition fittings brass with twin suspension rings, engraved and ornamented with naval motifs; light patina. Condition: Excellent for its age, intact fittings, minor age wear only. Damascus-bladed Kriegsmarine swords were custom-ordered luxury items reserved for senior officers or presentation pieces.

Each was individually crafted in Solingen.
