RELIC WWII GERMAN KRIEGSMARINE (NAVY) LINE OFFICER'S BELT BUCKLE (Schaerpenschnalle) worn with the black fabric undress belt is ORIGINALNOT REPRO. Re-May 1945 manufacture Kreigsmarine b. Uckles were worn by the hand-selected officers who commanded the infamous and deadly Wolf Pack Submarines and Dreadnoughts of the Third Reich. From private collection, not beat up swap meet or? Buckle of aluminum alloy construction is injection molded and frosted gilt washed. Approximately 39 mm (1.5) diameter buckle obverse features a high relief, embossed, overlapping, laurel leaf wreath outer edge encompassing an embossed, vertical, fouled anchor, on a slightly domed, horizontally ribbed field. The outer edge of the buckle conforms to the shape of the laurel leaves. Buckle has no waffenamts per usual. Kreigsmarine Officers buckle obverse is RELIC MINT ; reverse shows minor fastening/unfastening rubs.
