This is a vintage wristwatch dating to circa 1940. This is beautiful, clean, and in good condition. This is an authentic WW2 era military style watch issued by the German government. This was issued to the German Navy aka the Kriegsmarine.
This is a very rarely seen maker. This is totally original and it has been professionally cleaned but not polished. The movement has just been serviced and it has a new alloy mainspring. The watch runs very well and keeps time. The time sets as it should. The case is plated metal with a stainless steel back and it is about 36mm wide not including the crown. It is about 42mm long to the tips of the lugs. The movement is a Vogele hand winder based on a PUW 500. The band is a new, good quality IW Suisse genuine leather Bund Strap replacement. The total length of the watch is about 9 1/2 inches. This uses an open ended 18 mm band which could easily be replaced if you prefer a different style or length. The new acrylic crystal is clean and clear and has no scratches. The original untouched dial is very, very nice and is depicted accurately in the pictures. Please see my other listings... Please note that all pictures are taken on the macro setting. This makes even the slightest imperfections and specks of dust appear much more prominent though they are often not visible without magnification. Please see the clear close-up pictures to further assess the condition of this watch.
