Historical luxury cufflinks, military, remembrance, WWII, Second World War, German navy (Kriegsmarine) buttons. World War II (1939-45) Commemorative Cufflinks.
These are a beautiful pair of cufflinks made with genuine German Kriegsmarine (War Navy) buttons dating from the era of the Second World War (1939-45), over 80 years ago. This pair of cufflinks are made from two gilt officers' German Kriegsmarine buttons. The German Kriegsmarine (War Navy) comprised over 800,000 personnel at its height and was infamous especially for its submarine'U-boat' fleet as well as battleships/cruisers such as the Bismarck and Admiral Graaf Spee. The cufflinks are made with a swivel back with an attractive diamond pattern on the swivel.
They are made using smaller cuff buttons from a tunic, perfect in size for large cufflinks and are 22 mm in diameter. They represent a unique part of history and the gilt buttons have been beautifully cleaned to retain the original character of the buttons which are approximately 80 years old, highlighting the beautiful details of these very rare original buttons. This is a truly unique gift and a chance to own a small piece of German and Second World War history restored and made into a beautiful pair of cufflinks. They are presented in a luxury wooden cufflink box and cardboard cover to make them the perfect present. This item is in the category "Jewellery & Watches\Men's Jewellery\Cufflinks".
