Wwii German Kriegsmarine Officer's Brocade Dress Belt & Buckle

This an original World War II German Kriegsmarine Line Officer's belt and buckle in good condition. It came to me from my grandfather who ended up with it after the war. The belt is two inches wide and constructed of silver brocade. The rear is a dark blue/black felt-like fabric. There are two concealed brass suspender eyelets. The length of the belt from the catch to the buckle hook is now 39 inches. There are 10 grommeted adjustment holes at the rear on the buckle end that could let the belt out to 44 inches in length.

The buckle is beautifully detailed with a fine fire gilt finish and burnished highlights. There is a small tear in the cover of one of the suspender eyelets to the rear of the belt.
