Brought back by a US veteran, this type was used on various U-Boats, Battleships, Destroyers, and other vessels, however I do not have any specific history with this item. The steel main door in secured tightly with triangular bolts, and when when open, reveals all the internal electrical components, which remain in near MINT condition! No manufacture markings that I can see. Features the original insulated cord, leading to the main handset (earphone and mouthpiece), as well as secondary connections for another earpiece. No cracks or damage to any of the cords. But numerous marks and scratches throughout, due to the age. Rubber on both handsets are torn/cracking. And it remains in un-restored condition, retaining it's authentic WW2 look and feel! I have shown the exact type in use in the last photo. One of the nicest and MOST COMPLETE Shipboard phones I have ever seen, it weighs approximately 35 lbs.
PERFECT item for any collection or display! Most of my items are vintage, and as such are AS-IS, so you must therefore expect a degree of wear due to age and/or usage. Although my passion is the Me109, I do offer many other German Aircraft Fw190, Me262, etc. , as well as USAF and Japanese items.Occasionally I do offer many non-vintage items such as prints and art relating to the time period. Use is solely based on my authorization only. The item "WW2 German Kriegsmarine U-Boat & Battleship SHIPBOARD TELEPHONE VERY NICE" is in sale since Wednesday, February 20, 2019.
